Becoming a Host

Hosts show the way with a detailed Workshop Outline. Play riveting, short videos to demonstrate exercises. Participants experience exercises in triads and small groups, with time for reflection.

No debating current events or the history of racism. Not a book club. No slides. No long, open-ended discussions.

Hosts guide groups every step of the way. The Video does the training. We show hosts how to maintain a space of respect despite the difficult topic.

We aren’t looking for subject matter experts. Hosts steward a process so participants discover for themselves ‘What Is Mine To Do?’.

They bring different experiences of race. Plus co-hosts share the work. And with 2 trained hosts, they can attend more closely to the needs of participants.
